Dustin is an Iraq war veteran. He was deployed to Iraq in 2004 where he was part of a team that provided security for military supply convoys. While in Iraq, Dustin was promoted to a Non-commissioned Officer and was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for “meritorious service” and “extreme personal courage.” Dustin devotes a substantial portion of his law practice helping veterans facing legal uncertainties stemming from service-connected disabilities such as drug charges and VA disability compensation. Dustin also works with disabled veterans outside the courtroom via the Farmer Veteran’s Coalition and Veteran Mentors.
Dustin is licensed to practice in Kansas state and federal courts. He is a member of the Kansas Bar Association, the Johnson County Bar Association and the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association. Dustin is also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and an Alumni of the Wounded Warrior Project.
